Five Things to Consider When Looking for a Funny Shirt

1. Is it funny to you, or everyone? There are a lot of niche shirts out there, and that’s fine. But some people might not get it, so if it’s not mainstream enough, don’t expect everyone to be clutching their sides with painful laughter.
2. Size up. You can always shrink that shirt, so buy it big, no matter what. Some shirt sites tend to run really small, so up one size at least is a good rule of thumb.
3. Right now it’s funny, but what about next month? When a funny phenomenon hits the public, like a viral video or the Charlie Sheen craze, it can create a frenzy of interest that can quickly die off, along with the money you invested in your shirt. So, if you’re buying something that’s topical for right now, consider it to be an ornament or dust rag, not a shirt you can wear, 6 months down the line.
4. Zoom in on that design. You’d be surprised at some of the design flaws on some shirts, so zoom in for a closer look to make sure it looks good. If they don’t have a zoom feature, then maybe you should pass.
5. Can you return it? If the company you are buying from doesn’t offer returns, then be skeptical. Especially if you’re placing a large order, be sure they offer returns that are hassle free in case a problem arises with your order.
